The prime minister of Serbia’s autonomous Vojvodina province, Igor Mirovic, on Thursday opened the 17th INOCOOP International Fair of Innovation, Cooperation and Entrepreneurship in Zrenjanin, northeastern Serbia.

The idea of organising the fair was born in 1994, with 80 exhibitors attending its debut, while today there are over 200, Mirovic said.

“The figures themselves suggest the idea was good and that it has been a complete success,” Mirovic said, adding that the main message of the fair was that embarking on the process of economic development was a joint endeavour.

Investors are interested in Zrenjanin, he also said.

INOCOOP is the largest regional fair in Vojvodina and one of the largest in Serbia, Mirovic noted.

The fair, which ends on August 27, features over 200 exhibitors from more than 20 countries worldwide.
