284 mln euros from IPA funds to become available to Serbia by 2020
, NewsA total of 284 mln euros from the EU’s IPA funds will become available to Serbia by 2020 for cross-border cooperation programmes with seven countries in the region and two transnational programmes, Serbian Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic said Thursday, Serbian news agency Tanjug reports.
Opening a regional forum on cross-border cooperation, Joksimovic said the Serbian government was investing the same energy and commitment into the part of work related to utilising IPA funds as it was into the opening of chapters in the EU accession talks.
In addition to its efforts regarding European integration and overall reforms in the country, the government is trying to make sure the citizens and local self-government authorities can feel the concrete benefits of European integration, she said.
European integration is not just an abstract narrative, Joksimovic said.
