Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday held a meeting with the members of the EBRD Board of Directors.
They discussed “ways of improving the business climate, assistance for development of the entrepreneurial spirit through advisory programs and support for development of SMEs in collaboration with Serbian institutions,” Tanjug reported, quoting the government.
The EBRD Board of Directors praised the reforms conducted by the Serbian government, giving a positive assessment of Serbia’s economic stability and development path, said in a statement.
The greatest interest was expressed for energy and infrastructure projects and cooperation in further development of successful Serbian companies such as the Nikola Tesla Airport and Telekom Srbija through a model of strategic partnership with international companies.
The significance of regional economic cooperation and stability, to which Serbia is contributing the most as the regional leader, was highlighted at the meeting.
Vucic thanked the EBRD for its continued support and assistance in nearly all fields significant for Serbia.
