The American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia welcomed the document “Economic Normalization”, which was signed by the representatives of Serbia and Kosovo in Washington on Friday, and assessed that it was a strong impetus to economic development.
The president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia, Zoran Petrovic, said today that “such and similar economic agreements give a strong impetus to economic development because they represent the basis for faster flow of people, goods, services and capital in the region.”
“Serbia has a significant export potential, especially in the regional framework, so the consistent implementation of such agreements is a chance for economic growth and closer economic and regional connections,” said Petrovic.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia represents over 200 American, international and domestic companies that employ about 95,000 citizens of Serbia and have invested 14 billion euros in the country.
The leaders of Serbia and Kosovo signed a document in two versions, called “Economic Normalization”, in the presence of US President Donald Trump yesterday in the White House.
Among other things, joint infrastructure projects are planned, with the help of EKSIM (Import-Export) Bank of the USA and the American Financial Corporation for International Development, as well as the opening of its office in Belgrade, Beta reports.
