By the end of 2026, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (PKS) will join one of the largest trade associations in the world, the World Trade Center Association (WTCA), which encompasses 88 countries, announced PKS President Marko Čadež.
He highlighted that the WTCA representative office will be located in Belgrade, within PKS, providing a space for companies entering Serbia to network and connect with partners right in the heart of the city.
“We have reached an agreement for the Chamber of Commerce to hold the WTCA license, with the representative office situated in our building on Terazije. This will make the Chamber part of the largest international trade association, positioning Belgrade and Serbia as leading destinations for trade and investment,” explained Čadež, who is currently in New York attending the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The World Trade Center is a global network that connects over 300 influential companies and organizations under its brand.
“Our vision is to introduce this world-renowned brand to Serbia and to implement the WTCA project in Belgrade soon, establishing it as a new business hub for the Western Balkans,” he said.
In recent days, Čadež has met with numerous delegations in New York to discuss enhancing economic ties with Serbia. Important meetings for Serbian businessmen are expected with business communities from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tunisia, and Greece by the end of autumn.
Last night, Čadež attended the “Serbia Beyond Future” reception hosted by the Permanent Mission of Serbia to the UN at the UN headquarters in New York.
World officials were informed about the upcoming Expo 2027, as well as Serbia’s future in terms of science, innovation, and cutting-edge technologies.
