Air Serbia has been named the best airline in Eastern Europe based on the results of a prestigious survey conducted by the American magazine Global Traveler, which publishes news, reviews and travel guides for business travelers.
“This award is a testament to the excellent work and dedication of the Air Serbia team, as well as the trust and loyalty of our passengers. Being recognized as the best airline in Eastern Europe motivates us to continue improving the travel experience for our passengers. We will keep working on innovations, enhancing comfort, and further personalizing our services,” said Jirži Marek, the CEO of Air Serbia. He thanked the employees and passengers who choose Air Serbia for their flights.
“This recognition also places us on the global stage in terms of air travel and inspires us to introduce new standards in the region and beyond,” Marek added, as reported by Air Serbia.
The Global Traveler survey is considered a reliable measure of excellence in the travel industry. Business travelers who frequently fly in business class are invited to choose the best airlines in several categories.
This award is based on the results of a survey conducted between December 13, 2023, and August 31, 2024, with over 20,000 participants.
The winners of the awards were officially announced in the December issue of Global Traveler, and the awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on December 11.
During the 50th Annual Airline Achievement Awards held in Dubai earlier this year, Air Serbia was inducted into the Air Transport World (ATW) Hall of Fame. Along with the Serbian national airline, ATW also inducted Emirates, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Air Canada and Korean Air into the Hall of Fame.
With over 817,000 readers, Global Traveler connects brands with business travelers in the United States. According to a MediaMark Research (Gfk MRI) study, the average net income of Global Traveler readers is $2.8 million, and 6% of them are CEOs or company owners.
Global Traveler has been awarding airlines since 2004, based on the results of a survey in which readers vote for their favorites through open-ended questions in a questionnaire.
