Boško Rupić, Director of Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia, told RTS that booking trends indicate the airline is on track to carry around 4.7 million passengers this year—significantly higher than the figures achieved by the former national carrier JAT in a similar population context.

Air Serbia has already transported over two million passengers in the first six months of 2025, reaching this milestone a month earlier than last year. The airline’s growth is supported by opening new destinations and renewing its fleet as part of its 2025 business strategy.

Rupić highlighted solid performance indicators in passenger load, expanded fare options, number of flights, and overall passenger numbers. With about a 7% growth in the first half of the year, Air Serbia’s strong booking momentum bodes well for surpassing its passenger target.
