The wide-body Air Serbia aircraft A330-200, registration YU-ARC, named “Mihajlo Pupin” and used for intercontinental flights, returned today to Belgrade from Rome on a ferry flight JU4043. The plane had flown to Rome on March 10 for an extensive maintenance service.
Air Serbia currently operates four aircraft of this type in its wide-body fleet, serving routes to New York (JFK), Chicago (ORD), Guangzhou (CAN), and Shanghai (PVG).
The airline plans to launch a new route to Miami (MIA) by the end of this year or early next year. Additionally, on May 30, the A319 registered YU-APK returned to service after being grounded since March 3.
Air Serbia’s total fleet consists of 29 aircraft, including three A319s owned by the airline. The airline also expects the arrival of two new Embraer E195 jets and three Airbus A320s.
Besides its own planes, Air Serbia currently operates eight aircraft under wet lease agreements: four Embraer E190 jets from Bulgarian carrier Bulgaria Air and four Airbus A320s from the Lithuanian company GetJet. With these leased planes included, Air Serbia currently has a fleet of 37 aircraft in regular operation.
