Annual research of the American Chamber of Commerce of Serbia

Two thirds of the member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce of Serbia plan to invest additionally in our country, which speaks of their expectation of a quick recovery after the end of the pandemic.
This is shown by the results of the organization’s annual survey on investor confidence and satisfaction presented at today’s online conference “Eighth Passing Time: e-Progress”.
– More than half of the companies, 56 percent, expect an increase in business volume and growth in 2021, while 30 percent plan new employments – it was said at the conference. – Compared to the expectations they had for last year, now 20 percent fewer companies believe that they will achieve growth, and the level of expectations regarding employment is 30 percent lower.
Employment this year, as stated, has not been reduced thanks to the help of the Government of Serbia. 70% of companies see the biggest challenge in the unpredictability of the pandemic. As many as 82 percent think that state aid will be needed in 2021 as well. The members of this organization believe that support should be directed to the most affected sectors, Novosti reports.
