Applications for annual income tax until May 16

Citizens who have earned  more  than 3.2 million dinars  pay the annual income tax , which is three times the average annual salary per employee in Serbia . The tax return is submitted by May 16, and the last day of the legal deadline is May 15 this year, it is stated in the explanation of the Ministry of Finance regarding the annual personal income tax for 2021.

“The non-taxable amount of income for 2021 is 3,268,224 dinars and is equal to three times the amount of the average annual salary per employee in Serbia,” states the Ministry of Finance.

According to the data of the Republic Bureau of Statistics, the average annual salary per employee in 2021 amounted to one million dinars.

Taxable income is income generated in the period from January 1 to December 31, 2021, based on: earnings, taxable income from self-employment, copyright and related rights, taxable income from real estate, industrial property rights. Then, from the leasing of movables, the taxable income of athletes and sports experts, the income from the provision of catering services, is stated in the explanation of the Ministry of Finance, Nova Ekonomija reports.
