The World Bank’s regional director for Europe Jane Armitage said she was satisfied with the degree of cooperation in Belgrade and the realization of projects, which are being implemented according to schedule and in a high-quality manner.
At a meeting with Traffic Minister Milutin Mrkonjic, she said that, during her visits to construction sites on Corridor 10, she had been assured of the maximal engagement of the construction sector, adding that huge progress had been achieved since 2011. She said that such a thing gave reasons for optimism – that the largest project in the Western Balkans will be completed in due course. In talks with the new owners of the Alpina company, she was given assurances that most of the commenced works would be completed by mid-2013.
