The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that three foreign companies were interested in the Glass Factory in Paracin.
During his visit to the Technical School in Despotovac, Vucic said that they were “Austrians, Swiss and Slovenes” and that they were much more serious companies than they had been before, when, as he stated, “there was theft”.
Vucic also said that he expects that the first contract with the EU for the Belgrade-Nis high-speed railway will be signed by the end of September, and that the 17.5-kilometer section from Djunis to Stalac will be built first.
He also emphasized the importance of work on dual education in Desportovac, because, as he pointed out, Serbia lacks craftsmen of all profiles.
According to him, it is necessary to build a water and sewage network in Despotovac and replace asbestos pipes.
Despotovac will be like a place in Switzerland
Vucic also said that Despotovac, when all the works are finished, will be like “some place in Switzerland”.
According to him, Serbia is not developing evenly, huge money has been invested in Belgrade and Novi Sad, and “only then everywhere else”.
“Huge money was invested in Belgrade and Novi Sad, and we invested another 20 million euros in Despotovac, plus 40 million in sewage, fecal and rain sewage with purifiers, as well as water supply, because they are losing 70 percent of water. So when you make the road to Zagubica, the reconstruction of the main street, the swimming pool, the reconstruction of the gym in the school so that the children can go to school, that will be another place,” said Vucic after visiting the Manasija monastery.
Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, the state will pay the Manasija monastery for sewerage and the renovation of the dining room, because it is next to Ravanica, one of the most beautiful monasteries in Serbia, visited by believers from Serbia, but also people from Dubai, Switzerland and France, he added.
Former cable factory is a space for dedicated industry
The president also said that the state is considering investing additional funds in the purpose-built industry.
Vucic also mentioned that after a two-year standstill, the purpose-built industry again sells in advance almost everything it produces, especially ammunition.
“In Despotovac, there is a former space of the Cable Factory on three hectares, and we are thinking of investing a lot of money in a purpose-built industry that is profitable again,” said Vucic.
He noted that ammunition is also exported to the United States.
Construction of the road from Cuprija to Sisevac
President Vucic stated that he would “immediately” start with the construction of four kilometers of road from Cuprija through Senj to Sisevac.
While visiting the “Biogor” hotel in Sisevac, Vucic announced that the road to the tourist settlement of Grza would be built, which is about 18.5 kilometers, and promised that the machines would start working “within 15 to 20 days”.
“It will be easier when people see the plans, because in a month and a half to two we will sign a contract with the Europeans for the Belgrade-Nish railway, when it will take an hour and 15 minutes for Belgrade-Paracin, and that will be in just three or four years. As Belgrade-Novi Sad will be in half an hour, in half a year,” he said.
He said that the railway will be important because of the freight traffic and investors.
Roads to Rekovac
Vucic told the residents of the municipality of Rekovac near Kragujevac that a 3.5-kilometer road from Rekovac to Karagujevac and 1.9 kilometers of roads in Oparic and Motric would be built immediately.
“We will do 3.5 kilometers of road from Rekovac, through the forests, towards Kragujevac. That will be done now, not in a year or two, you will see the machines within 15 days and we will finish it quickly,” said Vucic, visiting the municipality of Rekovac.
He added that 1.9 kilometers of road will be done in Oparic and Motric, immediately.
Vucic said that the state gives 483 thousand euros for the construction of a water supply system in that municipality, and that the construction of the sewerage system is already included in the program for the construction of the fecal sewerage system and the treatment plant.
He said that these infrastructure projects will be completed in three years and that the Health Center will be reconstructed next year.
“The most difficult and most important thing is to find a smaller investment because Rekovac does not have many inhabitants, in order to employ 200 women,” said Vucic.
He added that “he cannot promise everything that anyone thinks”, but that he “came as president and did not talk about the elections and that what he promises will be done,” N1 reports.
