However, the global slowdown in automotive production has affected Serbia’s industrial performance. Declining demand for certain vehicle models and disruptions in supply chains have reduced output in several component manufacturing plants.
Despite these challenges, the long-term outlook for the automotive sector remains positive. The transition toward electric vehicles is expected to create new opportunities for component suppliers specializing in electronics, battery systems and electric drivetrains.
Serbia’s established automotive supply chain could therefore benefit from the industry’s technological transformation.
