Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade served over 1.6 million passengers in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 0.4% increase compared to last year and 56% more than in Q1 2019. With nearly 16,000 flights, Belgrade remains one of Europe’s fastest-growing airports compared to pre-pandemic levels.

To boost air traffic, Belgrade Airport introduced a new incentive plan to support new routes. Air Serbia launched a direct line to Shanghai, and new routes to Florence, Sardinia, Tbilisi, Mykonos and Rhodes are upcoming. Wizz Air will expand its capacity by basing a fourth Airbus A321-neo at Belgrade and adding flights to Alicante and Friedrichshafen.

In 2025, Belgrade will be connected to 116 destinations—103 via regular and 13 via seasonal charter flights—strengthening its role as a key international hub. Operator VINCI Airports, which manages the airport, served over 73 million passengers globally in Q1, a 6% year-over-year increase.
