The Belgrade Fair complex, including Halls 1, 2, 3 and the administrative building, will be preserved and renovated for public use. In a closed session of the Commission for Amendments to the Belgrade Waterfront (Beograd na Vodi) urban plan, it was decided that these buildings will be repurposed for culture, education, healthcare, social services, and other public functions, according to eKapija.

This final decision incorporates feedback from experts and the public. The future of other parts of the Belgrade Waterfront project remains under consideration.

The final design for the Belgrade Fair complex will be determined through an architectural and urban planning competition, aimed at finding the best solution to utilize the existing structures for future public purposes.

Additional citizen proposals approved by the Commission include:

  • Terazijska terrace: The first level will become a public green area and part of a city park. Blocks 51 and 52 are excluded from the urban plan changes.
  • Savski square: Plans for an above-ground garage in Block 57 have been abandoned, and Block 58 will no longer have mixed commercial use. Both blocks will be excluded from the Belgrade Waterfront project and addressed through a separate plan.
