Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport set a historic record in August 2025, serving over one million passengers for the first time in a single month. According to VINCI Airports, the terminal recorded 1,003,859 passengers, a 7.5% increase compared to August 2024.
August is traditionally the busiest month, and this milestone confirms the airport’s continuous growth, making it the busiest in the region. During the summer period from June to September, Belgrade Airport offered more than one million seats on regular flights, joining other major European hubs.
Among airlines, Air Serbia held the largest share with 53.9% of total capacity, followed by Wizz Air with 17%, which saw the highest year-on-year growth with an additional 54,000 seats. The most popular route in August was Belgrade – Tivat, followed by Zurich, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Podgorica, Larnaca, Vienna, and Amsterdam.
From January to August 2025, the airport served 5.89 million passengers, a 5.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
