Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade, operated by VINCI Airports, welcomed approximately 563,500 passengers in January 2025. This marks a 1.3% decrease compared to the same month in 2024, when the airport recorded 570,937 passengers.

The decline in passenger numbers can be partly attributed to Wizz Air’s decision to reduce its operations at the end of 2024, which led to fewer available seats and flights. Additionally, the total number of commercial flights at the airport decreased by 3.3% compared to January 2024.

However, despite this temporary dip, Belgrade Airport achieved a record-breaking 8.4 million passengers in 2024, representing a 5.3% increase from the previous year. Positive growth trends are expected to continue in 2025, with projections predicting an increase of between 3% and 6% during the summer season.
