Budget deficit in January and February 53 billion dinars

In the first two months of this year, the deficit of the republic budget in the amount of 52.9 billion dinars was realized, the Ministry of Finance announced.

In this period, revenues of 240.1 billion dinars were realized , whileexpenditures amounted to 293 million dinars. In February alone , the deficit amounted to 44.8 billion dinars.

In February, revenues in the amount of 116.2 billion dinars were collected , of which tax revenues amounted to 105.8 billion dinars. The largest part of tax revenues refers to the payment of VAT in the amount of 56.2 billion dinars and excise duties in the amount of 25.8 billion dinars. Non-tax revenues amounted to 9.8 billion dinars, and the inflow of donations in February amounted to 0.6 billion dinars.

In the same month, 160.9 billion dinars were spent. Expenditures for employees in February amounted to 29.5 billion dinars, interest payments 23 billion dinars, and capital expenditures amounted to 15.7 billion dinars. The largest single item on the expenditure side was the transfers of OOSO (PIO fund, RFZO, NES, SOVO fund), which amounted to 48.7 billion dinars, considering that one-time assistance was paid to all pensioners in the amount of 33.6 billion dinars. At the general government level, a deficit of RSD 50.7 billion and a primary fiscal deficit of RSD 8.4 billion were recorded in the first two months, Danas reports.
