CHANGAN Automobile, one of the leading global automotive manufacturers, has officially announced the start of sales in Serbia and the Western Balkans. Through a partnership with the authorized importer Crossroad Asia, a member of the OMR Group, the company presented its new electric SUV models — DEEPAL S07 and DEEPAL S05. With this launch, Serbia and the region become part of the strategic expansion of one of China’s most prominent automotive brands.

“By signing a direct agreement with Changan, the OMR Group has become one of the regional leaders in the automotive industry. I would like to thank Mr. Leevon Tian and the entire Changan team, who worked closely with us and provided strong professional support to make this cooperation possible,” said Ostoja Mijailović, President of the OMR Group. Customers can now book test drives for the S05 and S07 models at the Ada Motors showroom in Radnička 22, Belgrade. Additionally, starting from November 21, a new Changan showroom — BM Motors Savograd — will open in the Sava Business Center at Milentija Popovića 5B in New Belgrade, offering an enhanced customer experience and easier access to Changan vehicles.

Dejan Stupar, Executive Director of the Automotive Division of the OMR Group, noted that customers across the region increasingly recognize the value of Chinese automotive brands for their strong balance of price, quality and technology. “We have seen firsthand that Changan offers modern design from its Turin design center, technology that competes with premium brands, and exceptional safety backed by a seven-year warranty. Our market strategy is built on two parallel directions. On one hand, we are focusing on electric and electrified vehicles by introducing the Deepal family, specifically the S05 and S07 models. These will be available in both fully electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions, giving customers the flexibility to choose the technology that best suits their needs and infrastructure. On the other hand, we will offer gasoline models such as the CHANGAN CS55, and soon the CS35 and UNI-T, providing a complete selection for more traditional customers,” Stupar explained.

Leevon Tian, Deputy General Manager of CHANGAN Europe Business Unit, added: “We are delighted to bring our DEEPAL models and our gasoline CHANGAN lineup to consumers in the Balkans, addressing their expectations for quality, technology, and value. Partnering with a strong local player such as the OMR Group makes this launch even more significant, and we look forward to building long-lasting connections with customers across the region.”
