Chinese automotive parts manufacturer Minth Metal Parts Balkan doo Majur, a subsidiary of the global Minth Group, has initiated plans to build its fourth production facility in Šabac, Serbia, focused on manufacturing decorative mouldings and sealing components for the automotive sector. The company has submitted an application for a green permit, a key environmental clearance required to proceed with construction and future operations at the new site.
The latest investment forms part of Minth’s wider expansion in the Šabac industrial cluster, where it already operates three facilities spanning a range of automotive production activities. The first plant, established in 2022, specialises in aluminium automotive components and is operated by Minth United Alloy-Tech Europe. Subsequent facilities include a modern aluminium processing foundry under Minal Europe Green Material and a third plant producing battery housings for electric vehicles through Minth Automotive Europe. These existing operations have positioned Šabac as a key hub in Minth’s European manufacturing footprint.
Under the new project, the planned factory is expected to produce up to 172 million decorative trims and seals annually, reinforcing Minth’s role in supplying interior and exterior components to automotive assemblers across Europe. Achieving the green permit is an essential regulatory step that will determine the project’s timeline and compliance with Serbia’s environmental standards.
Minth’s continued investment reflects broader trends in Serbia’s industrial and foreign direct investment landscape, where the company has committed substantial capital to automotive production projects in recent years and works with major global brands throughout its network.
