Competition for energy efficiency worth 300 million dinars

The Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia announced that it has announced a public call for the allocation of funds for financing projects to improve energy efficiency in facilities of public importance, whose total value is 300 million dinars.

The project is a continuation of the joint work of the ministry and local governments on improving energy efficiency, which is crucial for increasing energy security, energy transition and environmental protection.

For projects to improve energy efficiency in buildings, the maximum amount of incentives is 30 million dinars. In municipalities whose level of development is below 50 percent of the national average, the state can finance up to 100 percent of the project value, and in others up to 70 percent. To improve energy efficiency, the modernization of the public lighting system will finance up to 20% of the project value, and a maximum of 4.5 million dinars. The deadline for local self-government units to send applications to the public call is May 25, Danas reports.
