The completion of the Kuzmin-Sremska Rača highway section, including the bridge over the Sava River, is planned for the end of this year, according to Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijević. During a meeting with Nedeljko Čubrilović, the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Srpska (RS), Sofronijević confirmed the project’s timeline and highlighted ongoing collaborative infrastructure efforts.

Sofronijević emphasized that the reconstruction of bridges connecting the RS, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia will continue, with all joint projects aiming to unify the Serbian people. Čubrilović echoed her sentiments, reaffirming that successful cooperation with Serbia’s Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure will ensure the completion of the Bijeljina-Rača highway toward Serbia.

Additionally, Čubrilović mentioned discussions regarding a temporary solution for the integrated border crossing on the RS side. This crossing, under an interstate agreement, will eventually be located on the Serbian side, with the goal of having it ready by next summer. In the interim, a temporary crossing will be implemented to facilitate the smooth flow of goods and services, as the Kuzmin-Sremska Rača highway section in Serbia nears completion.
