The “Pupin” wind farm in Kovačica, with an installed capacity of 94MW and consisting of 16 wind turbines, has been completed and is now in trial operation, according to the Association of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) Serbia.

This project is an investment by the Israeli company Enlight, and it represents an expansion of the existing “Kovačica” wind farm. The “Pupin” wind farm has already begun producing electricity and supplying it to the Electric Power Company of Serbia. A plant tour is scheduled for tomorrow to mark the occasion.

The event will be attended by Israeli Ambassador Avivit Bar-Ilan, Charlotte Ruhe, Executive Director for Central and Southeastern Europe at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as well as representatives from the Ministry of Mining and Energy, investors, and Enlight Renewable Energy.

The “Pupin” wind farm was the successful bidder in last year’s energy auctions, which facilitated its rapid construction.
