The construction of a bridge over the Loznička River has officially begun, marking the continuation of the Vojvode Putnika Boulevard in Čačak. The project is being carried out by the company Strabag, with a total investment of just under 40 million dinars.
The location of the new bridge will connect Vojvode Putnika Boulevard with the Boulevard of Liberation and Sime Sarage Street, improving access for residents of the “Ključ” local community. The bridge is expected to be completed within the next 120 days, although local authorities say the contractors have promised to finish the work earlier.
“The bridge will have a significant impact on traffic in this part of the city, as well as in all of Čačak. It will connect key roads, and substantial preparatory work has already been done, including the relocation of district heating pipes and other infrastructure tasks. We expect to finish the remaining section of the boulevard by the end of the year,” said Mayor Milun Todorović.
The bridge will feature a road width of 20 meters and a span of 13 meters.
