Construction of the Belgrade–Niš railway to begin in 2026, projected to cost 2.77 billion euros

Construction of the Belgrade–Niš railway, part of the Corridor 10 rail network, is scheduled to begin in 2026 and is expected to take three to four years, announced Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijević.

The railway will span 230 kilometers, with the total project cost estimated at 2.77 billion euros.

The construction will be divided into three sections, covering the route from Belgrade through Velika Plana and Paraćin to Niš.
