The Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has created a special body tasked with monitoring the work of government companies, agencies, administrative institutions and directorates related to those fields, Tanjug has learned from the ministry.

One of the first tasks of the body will be to organize those institutions more rationally, starting from their number to the composition of their workforce.

The ministry is getting the requested reports from those entities that contain a short description of the projects and work currently conducted there.

The ministry held a meeting with heads of those entities on April 30 a asked for a short report about current projects, key problems, suggested solutions and strategic projects for the next 2-3 years.

Based on the reports , the ministry will check if their activities are in line with the job they were created to do and identify those responsible if the work is not being done.

The newly established body will monitor their work in order to improve transport safety for both people and goods.

Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said earlier that all government bodies and companies would have to adapt to the government policy, adding that there would be no tolerance for management flaws because of the difficult economic situation.
