The possibilities for further expansion of Continental Automotive Serbia’s business in the country were the main topic of a meeting between Economy Minister Adriana Mesarović and Continental’s management team.

The meeting took place in the presence of advisor to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Jorg Heskens, and was led by factory director Šander Bazilio.

“We are working to improve the business environment in our country and continue to create conditions for new investments and strengthening our economy,” Mesarović stated on her Instagram profile.

No additional details about Continental’s potential expansion plans were disclosed at the meeting.

To recap, Continental opened a factory producing electronic automotive devices in Kać, near Novi Sad. Last year, it became clear that the company plans to expand its production capacity in this Serbian city from 30,000 m² of production, office, and warehouse space to 6.7 hectares, as outlined in the urban plan for the third phase of the Continental Automotive business complex.
