The Directorate for Building Land and Construction of Belgrade awarded the contract for constructing the BAS bus terminal building in Block 42 to a consortium of companies including Jadran, G4S Secure Solutions, ABA Professional, DOT Networks, DOT Smart Solutions, Traco-Invest, Čelik and Armont. The contract value is 5.57 billion dinars without VAT, or 6.7 billion dinars including VAT. Jadran will perform the majority of the work, accounting for 63.53% of the total. Jadran is predominantly owned by Nikola Malbaša, holding 99.86% of the company’s shares.

Two other groups submitted bids: one consisting of several Energoprojekt companies and others, with an offer of 5.46 billion dinars excluding VAT; the other comprising Metallica Stahl-und Fassadentechnik GmbH and Strabag companies, offering 5.36 billion dinars excluding VAT. Both bids were rejected for failing to meet technical and professional criteria.

The public tender for Phase II of the bus terminal construction was announced on October 19. However, in December, the process was halted due to a complaint from Strabag regarding tender documentation and selection criteria. The Republican Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures partially canceled the tender, ordered changes to certain documentation, and extended the deadline for submitting bids to April 17.

The New Belgrade bus station in Block 42 opened in late September but remains unfinished. The BAS station building itself has only a completed foundation slab. Passengers currently use a temporary facility measuring 1,200 square meters, equipped with basic amenities. The final BAS station building will be located on plot 2896/107 and is designed in the shape of a spread Cyrillic letter “П.” The building will include a basement, ground floor, first floor, and a detached floor, forming the full station complex.
