Serbia’s Minister of Economy Mladjan Dinkic signed in Aleksinac on Monday an agreement with Grammer Group from Germany on opening a new factory in that town.
The factory will employ 520 people by the end of 2014, and the government will give Grammer EUR 7,000 per employee, Dinkic stated.
The new plant will replace the current Sirokos factory, which Grammer will buy by the end of the year and complete its reconstruction, Dinkic noted.
Grammer makes backs for seats that go into vehicles made by Audi, BMW, Fiat and about 10 other brands.
Dinkic signed the agreement with Grammer CEO Pierluigi Ghione, and before the signing, he met with local officials behind closed doors.
Grammer is already present in Aleksinac and currently employs 740 people.
