Country prepares free trade agreement with China

Finance Minister Sinisa Mali chaired the first session of the task force for the preparation of draft agreements on free trade between Serbia and China, which would be of great importance for farmers.

The task of the task force is to define the scope of trade liberalization and prepare a draft free trade agreement between the two countries, the finance ministry said.

Mali said that Serbia attached great importance to further strengthening strategic partnership with China, which is its most important trade partner in Asia, with which commodity exchange was recording constant growth.

He stated that during the last 10 years, i.e. in the period from 2012 to 2021, Serbia’s export to China increased 152 times. As he added, export to China has been increasing every year, and last year it reached almost a billion dollars, Biz Life reports.
