Danish company Kentaur has abruptly closed its production plant in Vranje, Serbia, laying off over 250 workers. The company said the decision was part of its plan to “ensure efficiency and competitive pricing” and to consolidate production with existing suppliers.
Chief Executive Mia Korg stated that the decision “was not easy and carries human consequences,” emphasizing that the company is “deeply affected by the situation of the employees” and committed to handling the transition “with care and respect.”
Kentaur announced that manufacturing operations would be relocated to other established production partners as part of a broader effort to optimize internal processes and maintain product quality and reliability for customers.
