The commission determined that the Belgian company would not limit, violate or prevent competition in Serbia, Beta news agency reported.

Delhaize and Delta Holding representatives signed an agreement on the sale of 100 percent of the Delta Maxi shares for EUR 932.5mn and a takeover of EUR300mn worth of retail chain’s debts on March 3.

The sale was under the commission’s scrutiny because the Belgian company will also indirectly take control of C Market, Pekabeta, Primer C, TP Srbija, Zvezdara, Bell Investment Property and TP Stadel companies.
