Elektrodistribucija Srbije (EDS) reported that around 400,000 users currently submit their electricity meter readings independently, with over 480,000 users having installed the EDS mobile application for this purpose.

According to the latest data, more than 270,000 users reported their meter readings through the app, while around 120,000 used other methods, including the EDS website, email, phone (0800 360 300), or in-person at service counters. Users can submit readings from the 1st to the 6th of each month.

The EDS mobile app is the most popular reporting method, offering features such as easy registration, the ability to manage multiple meters (apartment, house, cottage, garage), and quick submission of meter readings with photos. Users can verify submission success through the app by entering their metering point code.

The app is available on Google Play, App Store, and Huawei AppGallery. Detailed instructions are provided within the app, on the EDS website, and on their YouTube channel.

Reporting meter readings independently is optional and allows users to ensure their account reflects actual consumption without waiting for a meter reader. About 600,000 smart meters in Serbia are read automatically and do not require user reporting.
