Employees in education, as well as scientific workers, will receive state aid of 10,000 dinars each today, tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, said the Minister of Finance, SiniÅ¡a Mali.Â
Today, the money will go to employees in schools of special interest, such as, for example, the Philological, Mathematical and Karlovac High School. Also, the money will go to employees in dormitories. Tomorrow the money will go to the accounts of employees in higher education and science workers, and on Friday employees in primary and secondary education “, said Mali as a guest on RTS, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance.
The Minister stated that more than 130,000 employees in the education sector will receive assistance, for which 1.6 billion dinars have been set aside.Â
Mali says that the state is not indebted in order to pay the mentioned help.Â
“We are not borrowing and we have foreseen in the budget that we will not go to the international capital market. We currently have about 160 billion dinars in our account. This is an investment for us and we are paying it from the money we have in our account. The share of public debt in GDP is 52.3 percent, which is far below the Maastricht level “, stated Mali.
Mali announced that at tomorrow’s session of the Government, a recommendation will be made to local self-governments to pay one-time assistance to employees in preschool institutions, because they are in their jurisdiction.
“The recommendation will be to pay this type of one-time aid to them as well. By the way, in some cities and local self-governments, the aid has already been paid, and our recommendation will refer to those who did not,” he said.
One-time financial aid in the same amount will be paid by the decision of the Government to employees of institutes, innovation centers and researchers employed in higher education institutions, Nova Ekonomija reports.
