In the second quarter of 2025, Serbia had a total of 2,370,103 employed persons, marking a 0.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the Republic Institute of Statistics.
Out of this total, 1,898,531 worked in legal entities, 425,321 were entrepreneurs, their employees, or self-employed individuals, and 46,251 were registered individual farmers.
Compared to Q2 2024, the number of employees in legal entities slightly decreased by 485, while entrepreneurs and self-employed workers increased by 7,070. The number of registered individual farmers fell by 3,652.
Compared to the previous quarter, total employment grew by 5,209 persons (0.2%). Specifically, employment in legal entities rose by 1,065 (0.1%), entrepreneurs and related workers increased by 5,026 (1.2%), while registered individual farmers declined by 882 (1.9%).
