The Ministry of Environmental Protection has confirmed that an environmental impact assessment study is still required for the project to build a residential and business complex on the former site of Hotel Yugoslavia.
According to the decision, the study must include all necessary conditions and consents from relevant authorities, such as location permits, approvals from the Institute for Nature Protection, the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, water management agencies, and the Ministry of Interior.
The project owner, Danube Riverside doo, is obligated to submit the environmental impact study for approval within one year.
The planned development includes a Ritz-Carlton hotel, along with two skyscrapers comprising business and residential towers, with a total investment estimated at 400 million euros.
Hotel Yugoslavia was sold at a public auction for 3.176 billion dinars. The property belongs to Danube Riverside, while the buyer was MV Investment doo from Belgrade, owned by Millennium Team company.
