The EU has a great interest in backing Serbia on its European integration path, say the members of a delegation of the Foreign Investors Council (FIC) in Serbia that recently visited Brussels.

We urged the EU to actively back Serbia through accession talks and providing technical and financial assistance, FIC Executive Director Ana Firtel told Tanjug Thursday.

The delegation, headed by President Jana Mikhailova, spoke with many officials of European institutions about the business climate in Serbia, Firtel said.

The Delegation expressed a readiness to continue to support Serbia’s European path through direct suggestions how to improve the business climate.

Seventy percent of FIC members come from EU member states – that is why we believe we can give specific suggestions how to make the EU accession process as good and efficient as possible, Firtel said.
