The upcoming EXPO 2027 in Belgrade is expected to bring together more than 130 participating countries, according to Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade Tomislav Momirović. The event, scheduled to take place from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All”, will be hosted on a 25-hectare site in Surčin, with an additional 55 hectares allocated for logistics.
Minister Momirović emphasized that this will be the largest and most significant international event ever organized in Serbia and the region, marking the first specialized Expo in Southeastern Europe.
Construction is set to begin by the end of the year, with a key requirement being the readiness of the location by the end of 2026. The fair will serve not only as a major economic and cultural milestone but also as a long-term investment in national infrastructure and global visibility.
Alongside the Expo site, a National Stadium and a new railway station will be constructed, further boosting Serbia’s development.
