Due to labor shortages and low wages, Fiat is bringing in workers from abroad despite Kragujevac having 9,000 unemployed people. Approximately 800 workers from Nepal and Morocco will be employed at Fiat’s factory in Kragujevac to address the workforce gap. However, the arrival of 800 foreign workers was later denied.

The Independent Union leader, Jugoslav Ristić, points out that factory wages are around 70,000 dinars, which is insufficient for living, leading to a lack of interest among local workers.

Additionally, about 100 workers from Morocco are expected to come for training and work for up to one year, as production of the “Grande Panda” model is planned to start in Morocco due to high demand.
