Startups from Serbia have the opportunity to apply for participation in the global investment gathering and startup competition AIM 2022, which will be held from March 29 to 31, 2022 as part of the world exhibition Expo2020 in Dubai.
Belgrade Science and Technology Park announced that up to five startups from Serbia will be selected at the local competition, which will have the opportunity to present themselves to the global audience and investors in the UAE.
“The best of the five selected startups (local winner) will be provided with a direct place in the global finals of the AIM Startup 2022 competition, while the remaining four startups will have the opportunity to participate in the pitch competition and fight for qualification in the grand final,” the statement said.
The participation of startups from Serbia will be enabled by NTP Belgrade, in cooperation with the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), the leading investment platform in the Middle East and North Africa.
Applications are open until February 7.
The right to participate in the local competition belongs to startup companies with up to 50 employees, mostly Serbian-owned, which have collected funding of at least 50,000 euros in their development so far and are not older than 10 years.
The criteria by which it will be evaluated are: experience and expertise of the team, market and business model, previous results and plans, industry in which the startup operates, pitch deck and the importance of participating in the AIM event for further development of startups, Nova Ekonomija reports.
