The German company PWO’s first plant in the Preljina industrial zone is set to open in April, as announced by Čačak Mayor Milun Todorović, reports Morava info.

Todorović shared that the company already employs 37 people in Čačak. “Last week, I met with the directors of PWO from Germany, along with the new Serbian directors. They plan to install the first working machine in February for testing, with the first phase of the plant scheduled to open at the end of April. This is a significant investment, amounting to around 100 million euros in the Preljina business zone,” said Todorović.

PWO specializes in manufacturing parts and equipment for the automotive industry. The company operates in the metal industry and has production plants in Germany, the Czech Republic, Mexico, and Canada. The Čačak facility is expected to employ approximately 500 workers in the first phase, with a total of 800 employees once the plant reaches full capacity.
