The German pharmaceutical company Phoenix Pharma is planning to build a large distribution center in Leskovac, covering an area of one and a half hectares. The investment, valued at approximately €14 million, was recently discussed between the mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanović, and representatives of the company.
The new facility is expected to create around 120 jobs and will be strategically located in the Green Zone of Leskovac. This area is being developed as a major logistics and business hub, with plans for the distribution center to serve not only the local market but the entire country of Serbia.
Phoenix Pharma specializes in the wholesale trade of pharmaceutical products, including auxiliary medicines, dietary supplements, cosmetic preparations, and medical devices. The planned center will support the company’s expanding operations and improve the supply chain for pharmaceutical goods throughout Serbia.
Mayor Cvetanović highlighted the significance of this investment for the local economy, emphasizing job creation and the development of the Green Zone as a key business area. The project marks an important step in attracting foreign investment to Leskovac and boosting the city’s economic growth.
