Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarović visited the Textile Industry Exhibition Center in Keqiao, China, where she announced potential investments from the Guan Nan Group. She toured the center with the company’s president, Cai Shuqing, who expressed interest in building a large textile industrial park in Serbia — his first investment in Europe.

Mesarović explained that the planned industrial park would require about 100 hectares of land and qualified labor, which Serbia can provide. Guan Nan Group currently owns six industrial parks in China, covering the full textile production chain from yarn to finished products.

Cai Shuqing said Serbia is an attractive destination for investment, citing strong bilateral relations, Serbia’s free trade agreements with the EU, other global markets, and especially China, which provide broad export opportunities. He emphasized his confidence that the project will succeed, calling Serbia “a gateway to Europe” for Chinese investors.

During the visit, a delegation from Serbia led by Mesarović met with Keqiao municipal leaders, where a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement was signed between the municipalities of Ćuprija (Serbia) and Keqiao (China).

Mesarović thanked Chinese partners for their support of Serbia’s sovereignty and highlighted the strategic partnership fostered by Presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Xi Jinping, noting that Chinese companies are already major investors in Serbian infrastructure and industry.
