Hungarian company MOL has already increased its oil exports to Serbia following the imposition of sanctions on NIS, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó told reporters on the sidelines of the “Russian Energy Week” forum.
At the same time, Szijjártó emphasized that the company cannot fully cover Serbia’s domestic fuel needs on its own. “MOL cannot independently supply the entire amount of fuel required for the functioning of the Serbian market. However, the company is doing everything it can. They have increased their exports and will continue to do so to support Serbia,” he said.
He also highlighted that Serbia’s situation demonstrates the risks of a country relying heavily on a single pipeline infrastructure.
