Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic says that companies, scientific institutes and faculties, which want to realize their ideas in market-oriented products, can get part of the funds for that through the Eureka project.
The Minister stated for the biznis.rs portal that the public invitation is open and that up to 50,000 euros can be obtained for the project.
“Projects that are financed through the Eureka initiative, refer to applied, industrial, and not to basic research,” Ruzic explained, adding that their results must be directed as a process, service or product towards the market.
According to him, part of the funds is provided by the state, and the rest is invested by the business sector.
Explaining who can use the budget funds, he said, as stated by Tanjug, that it can only be an organization that implements the project, it is entered in the Register of scientific research activities or the Register of innovation activities of the Ministry of Education.
Ruzic stated that 89 projects have been successfully implemented so far, mostly in the field of information technologies, of which 32 were projects.
Eureka is a European intergovernmental initiative, in which Serbia, as a full member, has been actively participating since 2002, Politika reports.
