The export of computer services from Serbia in 2020 amounted to 1.37 billion euros, which is 4.4 percent more than in 2019, the Vojvodina ICT Cluster announced today, referring to the data of the National Bank of Serbia.
December’s exports of computer services were as much as a third higher than a year earlier.
In the Vojvodina ICT cluster, they believe that this is a fantastic feat in the circumstances of the pandemic, so that in the last quarter there was a rise again, so that the end of 2020 will bring growth of over 30 percent compared to December of the previous year.
In recent years, exports of IT services have grown at an average rate above 25 percent.
January and February last year showed the continuation of the long-term trend, but with the outbreak of the pandemic, there was a significant decline, it is stated in the announcement.
However, Serbian IT companies have managed to preserve liquidity and human resources since March 2020, when a decline in revenues and the number of projects was registered.
They state that the export of IT services is very important for Serbia, as well as for the 20,000 IT experts who are behind this success, Nova reports.
