Industrial production in July increased by 2.7 percent

Industrial production in Serbia was 2.7 percent higher in July compared to the same month of the previous year, and compared to the average for 2022, it was 1.6 percent lower, the Republic Statistical Office announced.

Industrial production in the period January – July 2023 compared to the same period in 2022 is higher by 1.9 percent.

The current seasonally adjusted index for July 2023, compared to June 2023, shows a decrease of 0.4 percent for the industry as a whole, and a decrease of 2.0 percent for the processing industry.

Observed by sector in July 2023, compared to July 2022, trends were recorded: Mining sector – a decrease of 0.5 percent, Manufacturing industry sector – an increase of 1.0 percent and the Electricity, gas, steam supply sector and air conditioning – growth of 12.6 percent.
