Industrial production in Serbia in April was lower by 16.6 percent than a year ago

Industrial production in Serbia in April this year is lower by 16.6 percent than in the same month last year and is lower by 20.8 percent compared to the average in 2019, the Republic Bureau of Statistics announced today.
In the period January-April, industrial production is lower by 0.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
Observed by sectors, in April, the mining decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the same month last year, in the processing industry the decline was 19.9 percent, and in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning 9.9 percent.
The consumption of goods in retail trade in Serbia in April this year is lower in current prices by 20.1 percent than a year ago, and in constant prices by 18.6 percent.
If we compare the first four months of 2020 with the same period in 2019, the turnover of goods in retail trade is higher in current prices by 2.7 percent, and in constant prices by 2.2 percent, Beta reports.
