Israel and Serbia: A friendship that lasts thirty years

Supported byspot_img

This year, the State of Israel celebrates 75 years since the declaration of independence, and the same since the establishment of the first diplomatic relations with Serbia. Diplomatic relations were established in 1948 (suspended from the June War in 1967 until 1991, when they were officially restored).

Today, 30 years after restoration, Serbia and Israel have good friendly ties and bilateral, economic and political relations. Over 70 Israeli companies operate in Serbia, and their presence is a significant factor not only for the economies of the two countries, but also for the overall relations between Israel and Serbia.

Two years ago, Serbia opened a representative office of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in Jerusalem, which contributed to the improvement of economic cooperation between Serbia and Israel.
