Israeli joint venture BIG CEE to invest €200 in Serbian malls

Israeli developer BIG Central European Estates, a joint venture between Big Shopping Centres and Yuli Ofer-controlled Central European Estates, has laid the foundation stone for its first retail project in Serbia, a €40m mall in the country’s second city of Novi Sad. The mall, with 30,000 sq.m. of retail space, is due for completion 4Q12 and will be the first of 10 malls to be constructed throughout Serbia in the next few years for a total investment of €200m.
